Quel est le nom de votre femme, Philippe ?
01.30.05 (10:42 am) [edit]
So Dianne Maire's ridiculous story gets even worse, now, with the knowledge that she's married to this frenchman. Pretty big whopper of a story they've cooked up, n'est-ce pas?
Since Cao's blog was recently referred to as the Rattler's pit by Pourquois Pas? previously known as Why not, who is actually Philippe Maire, so I'm assuming that Dianne Maire is married to him--changes the whole perspective on that little frenchie picture, doesn't it? Poor little frenchie, working off that debt she owes Philippe--as his wife, presumably? There's another word for that, I think...

Aesthetics of Lying: the French New Autobiography Kerstin Kratochwill
The liar's punishment is not in the least that he is not believed, but that he cannot believe anyone else. Lies and Lying Shaw, George Bernard 1856-1950 Irish-born British Dramatist
A liar begins with making falsehood appear like truth, and ends with making truth itself appear like falsehood. Lies and Lying Shenstone, William 1714-1763 British Poet
All lies and jests, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest. Lies and Lying Simon, Paul 1941 American Musician Singer Songwriter
Don't lie if you don't have to. Lies and Lying Szilard, Leo
This is the punishment of a liar: he is not believed, even when he speaks the truth. Lies and Lying Talmud, The BC 500-400 AD Jewish Archive of Oral Tradition
Our colleague in Paris, Jean Taquet, writes:
The American media reports quite often about whether their government is lying. It seems that this issue is being raised with every American president lately and is being presented as an issue of national concern.
I am quite certain that there must be as much if not more lying from the government in France as in the USA. However, the French people have a different relationship to truth and lies. Where the American people see only two options (something is either true or false), French people see three options: true, somewhat true, and false, and they expect the second to be the most common. I have always had problems explaining this to my American clients who get into difficult situations because of this phenomenon. Whether the French individual has tried to be misleading or not makes very little difference. What matters is correcting the damage done as a result.

In Spite of terrorists threats, Iraqi elections a success
01.30.05 (7:05 am) [edit]
Al-Qaida’s top operative in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, said “We have declared a bitter war against democracy and all those who seek to enact it,’ Zarqawi announced, adding that “democracy is based on the right to choose your religion,’ and that’s “against the rule of Allah.’ Looks to me as though a different voice is speaking here…the Voice of God…the God that believes in freedom, not Allah. Today I am privately celebrating for an Iranian friend of mine, a Kurd, whose father was murdered under the Ayatollah Khoemeini. It is my hope that all of the kurds in Iraq will be breathing a little bit easier today and in the future. And for all the people who were tortured, and opporessed under Saddam, this is a good day. God bless all those who’ve lost their lives–both under Saddam’s regime, and in the fight against the terrorists. It’s not over, but this is a huge accomplishment for the Iraqi people and their future.
“I came here to vote for our goal, which is freedom,” said Abu Ahmed, a 55-year-old Shiite voter in Baqouba north of Baghdad.

My prayers and condolences are with the families of the marines and Iraqis who were killed this past week in the heliocopter crash. Every day, coalition forces and courageous Iraqis put their lives at risk in the struggle for freedom, free expression, and the right to vote. We are up against the worst kind of enemy–those who do not want this for the Iraqi people.

GROUND-LEVEL NEWS COVERAGE OF IRAQ’S ELECTION
Spirit of America has been supporting Friends of Democracy in Iraq to provide a ground-level view of the election from the people and bloggers of Iraq. It seems that major media often focuses on the violence and terrorism. Given the historic nature of this election we think people deserve better. The goal is to offer a full picture of the elections from the perspective of Iraqis. There are lots of good reports already on the Friends of Democracy site click here. It is not “candy coated” - it includes good news and bad. Take a look now and make sure to check it on Sunday.
Friends of Democracy is using Spirit of America’s Arabic blogging tool (aka Arabic Internet publishing tool) to publish election information for people in Iraq. Background on the Iraq election news project is here: Blogging Project

Terry Turner watching dems interests
01.30.05 (7:02 am) [edit]
Terry Turner recently visited both Cao’s Blog and the Wide Awakes Website, touting the mantra, that he’s “watching Washington” and wants to hold the republicans responsible. You can see his blog here. Yet, there is a vast array of evidence on the net that he’s watching out for the dems interests, and is trolling conservative websites, leaving less-than civil messages and even sending rude emails. Interestingly enough, when he tried to gain entry to the Wide Awakes discussion forum and we denied him entry, he sent me this email: Always a pleasure to talk to a right winger whose views border on facist beliefs is silencing debate. I guess I’m stuck with the 20,000 page views per day on my site to get my word out. And by the way, I allow debate on my site – even from the extreme right. At least one of us believes in American ideals. I will continue to view the Wide Awakes and still offer my point of view to keep yours sharp and accurate in your cause. Good day to you as well. Now here is where it gets interesting. The Wide Awakes group is not an ignorant bunch of hicks, you know. Here’s a link to our rules of Engagement, here’s a link to our statement of purpose. We encourage debate, but that’s not the purpose of our forum. We welcome dissenting opinions on our blog, it only makes us better at what we’re trying to accomplish. It was pointed out to me by one of our astute bloggers, Ogre, from Ogres Politics and views, who did a little research on this guy’s website: 20,000 page views? I’m not buying that one. Ranked #9035 in the ecosystem, inbound unique links: 5 (all links from left sites). Technorati shows 75 links from 15 sources. No sitemeter counter displayed. Maybe he hits reload a lot. Seems like this guy is a little “stuck on himself” when he stretches numbers that are so easy to verify. Beth, at My Vast Rightwing Conspiracy, had this to say about hiim: Eff him. I have no patience for people who live to pick fights. Ask him if he’s ever heard of the Alliance, the Watchers of Weasels, the Right Wing Attack Squad, the Command Post, Milbloggers or any one of the multitude of other groups (I won’t even bother with the lefty ones, because I can’t name one off the top of my head)…for the most part, blog groups or group blogs are for the like minded to work together. If he wants to “debate,” he can use his own bandwidth to do so, or (politely) leave a comment at Wide Awakes. My thinking is that the forum is more along the lines of the Rottweilers’ chat room (although anyone can get in there, leftards wouldn’t last long if they tried). Friendly talk among the like-minded. Oh, and tell him “stifle” is not spelled “stiffle". Sorry, I had to say that because I think he sounds like an asshat. And she was pretty strong on this because she continues Like I said, eff him. I agree, there’s no way he gets 20K visits a day unless he hits refresh a lot! (LOL) Besides, what kind of debate would it be if he’s already resorted to name-calling ("facist"–nice spelling, AGAIN). What a jerk–what makes him think HIS point of view is either “sharp” or “accurate"? I’m halfway tempted to say let him in so I can chew him up and spit him out. Dumbass. He has the habit of attempting to spread disinformation as was published some time ago on the Club For Growth blog. Don’t swallow what this guy is telling you, he stretches the facts until they’re out and out lies, and he’s a name-calling dem who masquerades as someone who’s trying to hold Washington responsible-when, in fact, he’s one of those extreme dems who considers republicans fascists, much like the George Soros breed of socialists who’ve taken over the democratic party who call people “racist” without even knowing their name. IMO, he not only sounds like an asshat, he’s proven himself to be one. Nuff said.

How the left betrayed my country-Iraq
01.30.05 (4:20 am) [edit]
Naseer Flayih Hasan wrote this piece published at Frontpage magazine. You can see it here. I had befriended a French reporter who had begun to realize that the situation in Iraq was not how the international media or the so-called “peace camp” described it. I noticed, however, that whenever he tried to voice his doubts to colleagues, they argued that he was wrong. Soon afterwards, I met a Dutch woman on Mutinabi Street, where booksellers lay out their wares on Friday morning. I asked her how long she’d been in Iraq and, through a translator, she answered, “Three months.” “So you were here during the war?” “Yes!” she said. “To see the crimes of the Americans!” I was stunned. After a moment, I replied, “What about the crimes of the regime? It killed millions of Iraqis. Do you know that if the regime was still in power, the conversation we’re having now would result in our torture or death?” Her face turned red and she angrily responded, “Soon will come the day that the Americans will do worse.” She then went on to accuse me of not knowing what the true facts were in Iraq—and that she could see the situation better than me! She was not the only “humanitarian” who expressed such outrageous opinions. One afternoon, I was speaking to some members of the American anti-war group “Voices in the Wilderness.” One of the group’s members declared that the Iraqi Governing Council (then in power at the time) were “traitors.” I was shocked. Most of the Council were people whom we Iraqis knew had suffered and sacrificed in a long struggle against the regime. Some represented opposition parties who had lost ten of thousand of members in that struggle. Others came from families who had lost up to 30 loved ones to the Baathists. After those, and many other, experiences, we finally comprehended how little we had in common with these “peace activists” who constantly decried American crimes, and hated to listen to us talk about the terrible long nightmare that ended with the collapse of the regime. We came to understand how these “humanitarians” experienced a sort of pleasure when terrorists or former remnants of the regime created destruction in Iraq—just so they could feel that they were right, and the Americans wrong! Cao’s Note: This is an Iraqi talking about his beloved Iraq. It’s just another example of how the left twists what is happening in Iraq–even when they’re living in Iraq–the unmitigated hubris to lecture Iraqis who suffered under Saddam about the terrorist “freedom fighters” noble cause. I can’t even imagine this–happening right in Iraq itself. I’ve witnessed it as leftists from all over the world have left stupid statements like that on this blog…but this is beyond the imagination.

What does a terrorist look like?
01.29.05 (2:41 pm) [edit]
|
We’re going to break this up a little bit. John McCrarey of Long Time Gone is in Korea-getting settled and it looks like I Hate Hollywood got picked up in the Hollywood Hills by Eddie Murphy so he’s on an interesting adventure.
I was doing a net scrub which I do a lot on the weekends and I came across this guy’s site: The Feces Flinging Monkey. He has a movie on his most current page so there’s a popup, which I found to be annoying. That first page, though, was not my introduction to the monkey.
This was. Take a look at this whole page it’s so interesting and a lot of what he has on the right hand side is–gosh can I say I’m in love????
I think this guy is just like me–I dunno. Because I totally “get” his sense of humor, he comes up with some very interesting little tidbits, and his posts are somehow familiar–he writes and thinks in a similar fashion-and his message is very much the same. Boggled my mind.
Anyway, what I was looking for–was more dead terrorists. If ever I catch news about more dead terrorists, I’m over here dancing the hammer. Couldn’t make me happier than to find out news about more dead terrorists.
Couldn’t find any, but I found what terrorists look like. They look like this.
Whew, he saved me some time on that one.
Then I got to thinking. If somebody asked me–"Hey, Cao–what did you do this weekend?” “Oh, I was just reading some of my favorite blogs. Rightwingnuthouse, Cracker over at Uncivil Rights and the Feces Flinging Monkey.” I wonder what kind of response I’d get.
Feces Flinging Monkey is now blogrolled without the “the". I have too many listings there starting with “the".
I think he deserves to be on every blogroll because he didn’t use the alternative word to “feces".
ok that’s the end.

The Lark Program
01.29.05 (2:39 pm) [edit]
|
Supposedly, a person wrote a letter to the White House complaining about the treatment of captives taken during the Afghanistan war.
Attached is a copy of the ‘reply’ (I only wish they would really reply to idiots like this, in this way):
The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, D.C., 20016
Dear Concerned Citizen:
Thank you for your letter criticizing our treatment of Taliban and Al Qaeda detainees currently housed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Our Administration takes these matters seriously, and your opinion was heard loud and clear here in Washington.
You’ll be pleased to learn we are creating a new arm of the Terrorist Retraining Program. Its name: “Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers” program, or LARK. In accordance with the guidelines we have decided to place a terrorist under your personal care. Your detainee has been selected and scheduled for transportation under armed guard to your residence next Monday.
Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud, (call him Ahmed), is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you demanded in your letter of admonishment. You may find necessity to hire some assistant caregivers. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your quality of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommend in your letter.
Ahmed is sociopath and extremely violent. We hope that your sensitivity to what you described as an “attitudinal problem” will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these deficiencies as mere cultural differences. He may bite, kick or scratch you, given the chance. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling.
Your live-in terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat. He can extinguish human life with items as simple as a pencil or nail clippers. We suggest you not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is expert at making various explosive devices from common household products. You may wish to keep those items locked up, unless of course (in your opinion), this might offend him.
Ahmed will not wish to interact with your wife or daughters (except sexually), as he views females as subhuman forms of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him. He has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress code he will recommend as appropriate attire. I’m sure they will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the bhurka, in due time. Remind them it is part of “respecting his culture and religious beliefs", wasn’t that how you put it?
Thanks again for your letter. We truly appreciate folks like you, who know so much, keeping us informed of the proper way to do our job. Take good care of Ahmed, remember…we’ll be watching. Good luck!

01.29.05 (3:09 am) [edit]
If you have a browser like firefox, then you can’t see the video that’s playing on the front of the site. This is a very disturbing presentation of the state of the Democratic party. In the beginning, it’s very funny, when the people are being interviewed about what happened with the election. But then it turns…and it’s very disturbing to learn that they’re talking about a “revolution". Click here My thanks to Raven at And Rightly So!, and Instapundit.

dhimmitude
01.28.05 (5:24 pm) [edit]
5:33. The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; [Anyone who disbeliefs in Islam and speaks against it is considered to be waging war against Allah and his messenger]
Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, “protected people,” are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur’an’s command that they “feel themselves subdued” (Sura 9:29). This denial of equality of rights and dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part of the legal superstructure that global jihadists are laboring to restore everywhere in the Islamic world, and wish ultimately to impose on the entire human race. It’s called building a bridge to the 8th century. If dhimmis complained about their inferior status, institutionalized humiliation, or poverty, their masters voided their contract and regarded them as enemies of Islam, fair game as objects of violence. Consequently, dhimmis were generally cowed into silence and worse. It was almost unheard-of to find dhimmis speaking out against their oppressors; to do so would have been suicide. For centuries dhimmi communities in the Islamic world learned to live in peace with their Muslim overlords by acquiescing to their subservience. Some even actively identified with the dominant class, and became strenuous advocates for it. Spearheaded by dhimmi academics and self-serving advocacy groups, that same attitude of chastened subservience has entered into Western academic study of Islam, and from there into journalism, school textbooks, and the popular discourse. One must not point out the depredations of jihad and dhimmitude; to do so would offend the multiculturalist ethos that prevails everywhere today. To do so would endanger chances for peace and rapprochement between civilizations all too ready to clash. But in this era of global terrorism it must be said: this silence, this distortion, has become deadly. Before 9/11 it was easy to ignore and whitewash dhimmitude, but the atrocities changed the situation forever. In jihads throughout history, untold millions have died. Tens of millions have been uprooted from their homes. Tens of millions have been stripped of their cultural identity. To continue to gloss over the destruction wrought by jihad ideology and its attendant evil of dhimmitude is today to play into the hands of jihadists, who have repeatedly vowed to dhimmify the West and destroy any recalcitrant elements. While jihadist groups, even with their global diffusion, are not strong enough to realize this goal by themselves, they have a potent and destructive ally, a genuine fifth column, in the dhimmi academics and dhimmi journalists they have recruited in the West. They have succeeded in confusing millions in the West into mistaking honesty and truthfulness for bigotry, and self-defense for oppression. From Robert Spencer’s Dhimmi Watch and Faith Freedom, the website of the ex Muslim Movement, whose members are warning us of the dangers of Islam. It's probably something the French don't understand because you'd be arrested if you spoke against the government there, but look at all the protesters at Bush's inauguration. This is what you call Free Speech.
Makes frenchie's story seem a little far-fetched, don't you think?
Most of these protesters are members of International ANSWER, Raging Grannies, etc., communist-affiliated organizations who are rabidly anti-American. And then there are, of course, organizations who are considered domestic terrorists by the FBI, such as the Ruckus Society, who obtained a non-profit status during the Clinton administration and is funded by people such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry through the Tides Foundation, among others.

01.23.05 (6:06 am) [edit]
Russ sent this to me, and it just seemed as though he was watching Cao’s blog over the last few days…this piece is worth a read, and yes, we’re gonna give ‘em hell! click here for Ann’s “Liberals Love America Like OJ Loved Nicole” Liberals love America like O.J. loved Nicole. As Ann Coulter said, bless her scathing sharp soul, Liberals love America like O.J. loved Nicole. Sad words those may be, but with ire they must fill us, If the Left can’t control us, they’d just as soon kill us. It’s a madness you see, coming full to the fore, Since they lost every battle of 2004. The weaker seek shrinks while the blamers point fingers, And the madness just festers, the lunacy lingers. They had trusted John Kerry to lead from above, But the problem with that was his hand fit the glove. And the Swift Boat detectives took us far back in time, Shining their hard bright light on the Perp and his crime. The psychosis blooms full and the future’s not rosy, As long as they’re led by the likes of Pelosi. The symptoms are glaring, prognosis is poor Till enmasse, they pass, their worm, Michael Moore. So the Left can’t win fairly, can’t win at the poll? Then they’ll seek other ways to defeat and control. Undermine our elections, give aid to our foe, To debase, to deface, a Nicole-U.S. Ho.’ O.J. had a jury that saw it his way, But believe me you Lefties, it’s come a new day, Red State America sits the main jury seat And for your socialist goals, that spells jury defeat. If you believe as I do, O.J. murdered Nicole, Then you believe as I do, he was out of control. Like crazed Lefties stabbing at our nation’s heart, He was crazy with loss, acting stupid, not smart. Will America share the same fate as Nicole? Slashed, shattered and battered for resisting control? No, Nicole-America has punch in her Right, And this time Juice Lefties, THIS BLONDE’S GONNA FIGHT! | Saddam ordered merchants' hands cut off |
01.23.05 (6:05 am) [edit]
Back when Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq, seven merchants were found guilty of using U.S. dollars instead of Iraqi dinars and were punished by having their right hands chopped off and X’s tattooed on their foreheads. The link to this story went dead. You can see it here. You can see the main site here. Yeah riiiight. Had a hiccup. I should have swiped the picture of that guy when I had the chance because there’s a lot of evidence that’s having ‘a hiccup’. In Islamic culture, having a right hand cut off is a severe form of public shame. For Saddam’s regime, sending Iraqis back into public without a hand reinforced the former dictator’s harsh rule. But for seven Iraqi men, nine years of public shame are finally over. These men went to Houston to undergo rehabilitation. Through plastic surgery, the black X’s are gone from their foreheads and they all now have state-of-the-art prosthetic right hands, which once again allows them to do simple things like tying their shoes. “They all cried and had tears in their eyes when they put these on,” said David Baty, director of prosthetics at Dynamic Orthotics and Prosthetics in Houston. The prosthetic hands work with what’s called myoelectric technology. Electric sensors in the forearm read electric pulses in their muscles to then open, close and squeeze. “We have a lot of gifts from God,” said Dr. Sabah al Rubayi, the Iraqi doctor who flew with the men to Houston. “We have two eyes and we don’t know the benefit of two eyes unless we missed one eye.” What has struck the amputees most about their trip to America is simply that they have the freedom to share their thoughts and say what they want without fear of reprisal. A grateful Baasim says: “I have learned that the most important thing in America is freedom. Freedom is worth any sacrifice.” Cross posted to The Wide Awakes here are a few links to what I can still find Amputees arrive for treatment Hands of horror, hands of hope NOTE: In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. section 107, this material is distributed without profit or payment to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving this information for non-profit research and educational purposes only.

US Gives at least 40% Of Food Aid For the World
01.22.05 (3:21 am) [edit]
|
Some estimates on how much the US contributes to world food aid are as high as 60%. Columnist Charles Krauthammer said that the U.S. Gives 60% of Global Food Aid.
The U.S. donates 0.14% of its gross national product (GNP) to foreign aid, which is below the 1% of GNP goal set by UN bureaucrats, which no country matches.
U.S. aid in the tsunami disaster will exceed $1 billion and the U.S. has given more aid in the last four years than any combination of developed countries.
President George Bush, said the U.S.'s $2.4 billion in disaster relief last year was "40% of all relief aid given in the world."
While the tsunami is a catastrophic reminder of the power of nature -- it is also a reminder of America's enormous generosity.
"We maintain a military infrastructure that keeps the peace in the world," notes Krauthammer. "We are the only people who do that."

01.05.05 (1:59 pm) [edit]

Translation: “Let me handle it. I know the country well.”
The execrable cartoonist of Le Monde, Plantu, hitting yet another low. Over 155,000 people have died in this massive tsunami disaster. While the U.S. is spearheading critical aid efforts, with an already thin military (because nobody else has the planes, helios and equipment) the French make snide commentary: “hey, they destroyed Iraq–and so they’re well prepared to handle such calamities!” It’s really sickening to me.
Courtesy, Belgravia Dispatch. Go over and look at more translations of how the French view Americans on this disaster. Really an eye opener. And of course, Gregory Djerejian is so much kinder than I would be in his treatment of the frogs.

So let’s see…this is the way I see it.
When the World Dials 911
Disaster strikes a world away We get the call, what do we say? We move at once, to ease their plight, To aid them through their darkest night. But come shrill cries from carping Press, That’s not enough to fix this mess. We know that, fools, but give us room, To counter Mother Nature’s doom.
America gives to those in need, With no regard to faith or creed. We’re there for all when need is great A helping hand to any state, That’s fallen under Nature’s wrath And needs a lift back to the path. So what they may have mocked our ways? We’ll turn our cheek ‘til better days.
But there are those who hate us so, They’ll carp and snipe and hit us low, Who’ll bend disaster to their needs, And try to choke us on our deeds. They’ll play their dirty liberal tricks, For them it’s only politics. In the face of massive human pain, They only think of their own gain.
But the world knows sure whom it must call, When disaster strikes, when nations fall. America is the beaming light That fades, dispels disaster’s night, And standing firm provides relief To salve the pain, allay the grief. So to Hell with what our critics say, America’s fine, still leads the way.

As you know, I’ve been struggling inside about the Tsunami victims after seeing that young man with the Bin Laden t-shirt. My son is about the same age as that boy, and he is fighting against Islamist radicals right now in Iraq, serving in the Army. What’s more is, he signed up for this duty. He was approached to sign up with a unit who was deploying out of Texas. His home unit is getting ready to deploy…but hasn’t yet. He believes so strongly in this mission, he seized the opportunity to go, didn’t thinking twice about it, and never looked back.
As I watch the news of the increasing scope of devastation that the tsunami wrought upon the nations ravaged in the Indian Ocean this weekend, and watch the death toll climb to an unbelievable number-closing in on a ghastly 150,000 (at last count) two thoughts have been swirling through my mind:
- The first is– as usual, the United States will bear much of the burden of relief efforts, as government agencies and private relief organizations begin to call upon individual and corporate donors to help fund the massive recovery operation.
- The second thought is…these nations who were devastated were to a large extent Muslim nations, and we can count on the Islamic nations to do absolutely nothing.
Osama Bin Laden, where are you now? What are you going to do to help the Ummah, which has been so tragically affected by this act of Allah? Don’t you have the heart to redirect the “mujahideen"? Do you care enough to ask your minions to stop destroying, and instead focus their efforts on rebuilding the towns and villages that have been destroyed?
Doesn’t the Qu’ran, which you so highly revere, mandate that you devote your resources to helping the Muslims who were widowed and orphaned by this natural disaster?
But history has shown us over and over again that you will not do this.
Your quest in the name of Islam is nothing more than a perversion of the word of Allah: it has nothing to do with “Submission” to the will of God. Instead, sir, you are on a power trip. It’s as simple as that.
So let me tell you, Mr. bin Laden, what will happen.
Americans will dig deeply into our personal pocketbooks, and the coffers of our tax dollars and our corporations. We will send money, equipment, supplies, and people to help these nations rebuild. We will cry with those who lost loved ones, while we help them bury their dead and rebuild their infrastructure. We will stand by reverently and respectfully and these people hold their private religious services.
And at the forefront of this relief effort will be the churches and synagogues of this country. All over this land, our people, including our children, will dig deeply into their pockets and take up offerings for those affected by the disaster. And we will pray for them in our churches and synagogues.
Our religious organizations will be at the forefront of the rebuilding efforts. And yes, Mr. Bin Laden, we will bring our Bibles and we will give them to the people, to help comfort them.
You will damn us for it, and will send your minions out to destroy what we are trying to rebuild.
But sir, don’t you get it? You have a golden opportunity right now to show the world that Islam is not a cult of death and destruction.
Get off your self-centered butt. Stop destroying and killing. Help the people of your religion.
If you don’t, we will. And don’t be surprised when they discover that no matter what you say, they find themselves liking us.
Because it’s the infidels who care who will make the difference.

The French: Soldiers Of Surrender
01.03.05 (12:54 pm) [edit]

Liberté, Egalité, Absurdité
Before the invasion of Iraq, Paris didn't just express reservations - it tried to sabotage American goals in every feasible venue, from the chambers of the Security Council to the committee rooms of NATO. Since then, it has issued a raft of demands, including the hasty transfer of sovereignty to an ad hoc Iraqi government, as well as a date certain by which the United States will remove its troops, no matter the circumstances.
Mr. Chirac's diplomats even spent October lobbying unsuccessfully for Iraqi insurgent groups - the ones now killing American troops and Iraqi civilians - to be represented at the international summit in Egypt in November. It is difficult to see how French interests are furthered in any way by this behavior, unless France is understood to believe that its own aims are advanced whenever American ones are thwarted.

Moonbat Alert!
01.03.05 (7:13 am) [edit]
|
Cross-posting is a funny thing. At It Is What It Is, I tried very gently to respond to the moonbat who’s posting with me and Mark Levin Fan. Here, I’d like to respond to frenchy: I really have no sympathy for the people who live in the land of mouldy cheese. Being that bouillabaisse is smelly french fish stew, I consider the name of that blog appropos. And, the first part of it is BULL. So, considering how Chirac has so wholeheartedly supported our war efforts and the only thing the french like about Americans is Jerry Lewis, just goes to show me that the french a little biiiit off. And, my least favorite gigolo and fake sailor applied for a deferment from the military (which he was denied) so he could go to school in France–All of which, in total are reasons I’m not too fond of the french. Plus, frenchy has come over here admonishing me for my faith. Just as this guy did, here. Funny how people find it necessary to talk about how un-Christian people are. Frenchy claims she’s a Christian, but Christians in France have lost it. What I mean is-they have Hate Crime Laws there, so it’s illegal to talk scripture or the Bible in public.
You can be as Anti-American as you please in France! No problem! Just don’t be Anti-French! Just try it and see how save you feel! You’ll learn what hatred really is! -Mark Levin Fan
How can someone be so paranoid, so stupid, so CLUELESS as to actually believe that their “life was threatened” for voicing their opinions in the United States?
This is a common meme amongst moonbats. It’s very dramatic, after all, to stand on top of the barricades waving a bloody shirt and screaming at the top of your voice that you’re being “oppressed.”
The fact is…you lickspittles wouldn’t know oppression if it came up and bit you in your more than ample asses. Oppression is when you stand up and state your beliefs and are then arrestted, tried, and shot for expressing them.
Moonbats who spout anti-american gibberish in this country write books, are fawned over at cocktail parties, and appear on CNN…hardly oppression in any realistic sense of the word.
By claiming oppression, you do an enormous disservice to people who have been in the past or who still are REALLY oppressed. People like Anatoly Scharansky, Lech Walesa, Vclav Havel, and all the nameless, faceless, extraordinarily courageous people who’ve lived in “workers’ paradises” like Cuba, Viet Nam, North Korea, and all the other benighted places on this planet where “socialism” has become synonomous with the death of the human spirit. THOSE are people who should be admired. And barking moonbats like “Whynot” (indeed) need to realize it. -Superhawk
I was going to write something about this but Superhawk beat me to it. You can see his piece here. It’s great-it’s called “How to stuff a wild moonbat“.
Basically, what I wanted to convey was the meaning of the word:
Moonbat is a pejorative political slogan coined by Perry de Havilland of “The Libertarian Samizdata,” a pro-war weblog. The term enjoys great currency in the right wing blogosphere, where it is used to disparage liberals, peace protestors, and other ideological opponents. SEE ALSO: Feminazi, Idiotarian
Definitions 1. “Someone on the extreme edge of whatever their -ism happens to be.” (de Havilland )
2. “someone who sacrifices sanity for the sake of consistency” (Adriana Cronin)
3. “… human whose cerebral cortex has turned to silly putty causing him or her to mentally slide down the evolutionary ladder to the level of a winged rat who is influenced by the moon and wants to suck your blood. Also not-so-affectionately known as a “Democrat".” (www.barking-moonbat.com F.A.Q)
4. Not liberals, but leftists. Whereas liberals are patriotic, leftists seek to undermine their national strength. Anti-war protestors, likely to call the US military “nazis,” apt to blame the 9-11 attacks on a US government and Zionist conspiracy, are moonbats. Liberals who oppose the war, are not.
5. A poster at the liberal/progressive website Democratic Underground.
Personally, I prefer it as a term for all libs. It’s a term I toss around generally and LIBERALLY….for democrats or anyone of the democratic persuasion, as it were.
Sean Gleason designed these two autorantic virtual moonbats. You can have the smaller one in your sidebar. All you do is press the ‘rant’ button and you get the canned stuff that the liberals use–and it’s delivered in the same mechanical way as the memorized nonsensical arguments that they wedge into whatever the discussion you’re having. Pure genius. I would use the larger one where you have a conversation with the thing, but it’s too large. The small one is perfect. I’m running out of room, though.

Mike Whitney and the Enemies Among Us
01.02.05 (2:20 am) [edit]
The name of this piece should have been: Mike Whitney and his friends, the enemies among us. Let me introduce you to the man behind the curtain: Mike Whitney, of the 44th District in Washington State. Take note, Shannon, if you’re listening. Mike is another great example, while I’m on the theme of leftists and their Anti-American sentiments and how they’re supporting terrorists at home. Mike Whitney, of Washington State, aka the Agg Pro or he may have moved to this site, is an admitted, even proud member of the ACLU, and although he is grammar and spelling-challenged, he is more widely published than anyone could imagine. When he came over here bragging about how published he is, I had no idea because I don’t take it upon myself to frequent The Smirking Chimp, Counterpunch or the Catalyst Journal. It’s no wonder he didn’t go any further with his admissions, because he knew full well they wouldn’t be well-received. You think I’m kidding about people like Kevin Sites who reporting ON BEHALF OF Al Jazeera? Take a look at this one. The thing that’s pathetic to me is Kevin Sites was probably threatened (maybe tortured) to do it, because it wasn’t long after his capture that the famous footage he took of the marine killing the terrorist was released by Al Jazeera. (Sites’ bio says he was captured by Iraqi Fedayeen militia outside Tikrit while traveling with Kurdish fighters and spent four hours in captivity before being released.) Mike Whitney, however, from the comfort of his own home, does it for free. It’s like John Kerry lying to the Winter Soldier investigation. Only Whitney was never in Iraq. So I can only imagine he’s one of those guys who’s too much of a coward to actually participate in the terrorist activities himself; so he lives vicariously through the terrorists themselves. I just want to make a comment on this picture before I go on. It sums up my sentiments on how we’re fighting this war and how the terrorists do it; but just remember. Behind that terrorist, cheering them on (even more of a coward than the terrorist hiding behind that woman), are people like Mike Whitney.
Actually, I don’t see that he’s a credible testament to anything except for one thing: there are people inside the US who are cheering for the enemy and there are activists like Mike Whitney who are working alongside them to help them achieve their goals. Cases in point: here, here but remember that this article is linked here, and there is even more here, here and here and he’s also called for us to disarm our military (or is that abandon the whole concept of defending ourselves?), here. I must really be getting under the skin of these idiots because Joe Lieberman himself paid my site a visit-you can see his site here. Now that I’ve put this picture together, it is no wonder that I’ve been receiving personal emails from lawyers congratulating me on what I’ve been putting up over here. When I first started receiving these emails, I thought maybe it was related to pieces like The Top Ten Leftist Americans which featured Lynne Stewart and Brian Becker and then later, Ramsey Clark-Still Saddam’s Sock Puppet, (still referring to Lynne Stewart). To me, these are prime examples of the war on terrorism that is being fought right here at home and describes exactly how these people are siding with the enemy. The socialist “Hate America” crowd sees our existing system as evil imperialism, they cry out for the deformed children that we’ve supposedly hurt with American chemicals (but they are wrong; Saddam did the gassing), and even the ridiculous assumption that we’re harvesting organs from dead Iraqis. I made fun of that assumption here, but you have to know that there are Americans who are claiming it’s true and they’re claiming that the American government and Bush are guilty of war crimes–it’s literally like listening to the lying voice of Bin Laden (only in English). If you have any conversations with criminal lawyers, including members of what might be called the “terror bar” (e.g. the ACLU), you will find many of them less decisive in Stewart’s defense than the public chorus suggests. Carl Herman spent 1 1/2 years fighting to keep Mohammed Saddiq Odeh from receiving the death penalty for the Nairobi Embassy bombing. He waited for the day when Odeh would have a change of heart, but it never came. On Sept. 11 Herman lost a friend in one of the towers. A few weeks later he had to visit Odeh in the downtown Metropolitan Correctional Center, and Herman discovered he couldn’t even look his client in the eye. Afterward he heard that the embassy bombers, when told what the loud noise at the World Trade Center was, exchanged thumbs up. Herman has sworn off defending terrorists. ‘’We’re not talking about phony revolutionaries, or Mafia guys, or nuts,'’ he says. ‘’These guys are really dedicated to wiping out me and my family. I can just find something else to do with my time.'’ Even Ron Kuby, a strong defender of Stewart, had a change of heart on many things since Sept. 11. He now regrets having defended El Sayyid A. Nosair, accused of killing the Jewish extremist Meir Kahane. When Sattar, the sheik’s paralegal, was arrested along with Stewart, Kuby was ready to represent him at the bail hearing, until Kuby’s wife said, ‘’You don’t know what he was doing.'’ Kuby reached a decision: ‘’I sure as hell don’t think people who would take my family, put them in purdah and put me up against a wall and shoot me are entitled to my support in that struggle.'’ The key to understanding the ACLU lies in a single word — ideology. Ideology is the attempt to account for the vast complexity of politics and society by using only a few rarified concepts. The ideologue seizes on a handful of abstractions and then claims everything else must somehow conform to them. To see how the ACLU is helping terrorists and defending their rights to do WHATEVER, the American Communist Lawyers Union’s (the true meaning behind the acronym) batch of press releases around August of 2004, insists that they will never check their new hires against terrorism watch lists. (mind you, this is just one example, for the sake of conversation.) The problem for the ACLU is that they already signed an agreement to use the watch lists in order to obtain nearly $500,000 from the Combined Federal Campaign, as required by the USA PATRIOT Act. The CFC is an agency which dispenses charitable donations from federal and state employees to more than 2,000 non-profit groups, which totals some $250 million per year. The ACLU, however, despite all its bluster about the Constitution, apparently has little use for contract law. They decided to simply disregard the list. And they probably would have gotten away with it if they could have kept their egos in check. But that, of course, is quite impossible for these pompous asses, and soon ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero was announcing to the world on NPR that while he’d printed out the watch lists, he’d “never consulted them.” Furthermore, he had no intention of doing so. When CFC Director Mara Patermaster pointed out in the New York Times that the ACLU was willfully violating government policy, the ACLU actually voted to heed the agreement and collect their cash. Then Romero, seemingly unable to repress any rash impulse whatsoever, pulled out of the agreement entirely, and began screaming the ACLU’s favorite word from the rooftops, one so integral to the martyr myth the group was built on—"blacklist.” “It is increasingly clear that the Patriot Act and the government’s ‘war on terror’ are threatening the ability of America’s non-profit charities to do their essential work,” Romero wrote in a letter to Patermaster. “By requiring non-profit charities to check their employees against a ‘blacklist’ in order to receive donations from the CFC, you are furthering a climate of fear and intimidation that undermines the health and well-being of this nation.” Now it must be conceded that, yes, the government is seeking a “blacklist” here. According to the U.S. State Department, the government is seeking a “blacklist” on those who have committed or threatened to commit the following actions: “hijacking or sabotage of an aircraft, vessel, vehicle or other conveyance; hostage taking; a violent attack on an internationally protected person; assassination; or the use of any biological agent, chemical agent, nuclear weapon or device, or explosive, firearm, or other weapon or dangerous device (other than for mere personal monetary gain), with intent to endanger, directly or indirectly, the safety of one or more individuals or to cause substantial damage to property.” Essentially, the ACLU is being asked to not hire those who seek to murder large numbers of Americans. Perhaps it should surprise us that the ACLU is reluctant to agree to such a request. But even the radicals over at the ACLU know how this must sound to the average American and are using all sorts of permutations to attempt to make it more palatable. For example, in an ACLU press release on the matter the group contended that the terrorism watch lists were a sham because they had pulled a single name from the list—Julio Ramirez–and found hundreds of people across the nation with the same name. “Any non-profit that employs a Julio Ramirez would now be obligated to ask potentially intrusive questions about his personal life and beliefs,” the ACLU lectures. If you aren’t a terrorist, is it really going to be such a big deal to go ahead and say you aren’t one? Does saying you do not, in fact, want to murder Americans sound like too much of a “loyalty oath” for the folks over at the ACLU? If a certain six foot eight, bearded man applied for a position at the ACLU, would it be too much to ask Anthony Romero to inquire as to whether the Osama before him was one and the same with the Osama currently sought in the mass murder of September 11? Or would that be “potentially intrusive"? Unfortunately, the hysteria has spread, and the ACLU is not alone in seeking what amounts to a Right to Work law for terrorists. They have been joined by a coalition that includes such lefty luminaries as the Advocacy Institute, Amnesty International, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the NAACP, the National Women’s Law Center, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and Sierra Club. Some of the claims by these other groups rivals even the crudely ludicrous rhetoric of the ACLU. For example, Barbara Brenner, Executive Director of Breast Cancer Action, has embarrassed herself by going on-record saying that checking terrorism watch lists “forced” her organization “to choose between accepting these restrictions"—i.e., not hiring terrorists—"and putting federal employees’ contributions to good use to help women confronting a life-threatening illness.” So now a stand against providing terrorists jobs is the equivalent of supporting breast cancer? Not to most Americans, I’d bet. Permanent victimhood is the bread and butter of groups like the ACLU, PETA, the Sierra Club, and, now apparently, Breast Cancer Action. Heroes and legends in their own minds, they’ve become rich by embracing Blame America First mentality on every major social and policy issue our country has faced. Protecting terrorists in the midst of the War on Terror is but a continuation of this philosophy which for the average Joe like me, is an EXTREME CONCERN. For this and so many other reasons, we must get the ACLU off the taxpayer dole. I sure as hell don’t want to be paying any portion whatsoever of my tax money to these assholes to defend terrorists anywhere in this country. And hey Joe and Mike–you can go to hell, because if you think we’re going to sit still for this, you’ve got another thing coming. You’re seeing to it that one day soon someone will have the privilege of hearing “allah akbar"! after some tragic event on our soil, just like the people did on those planes on 9/11. I hope you’re within earshot; because you will be personally responsible.

Tsunami and Bin Laden
01.02.05 (2:14 am) [edit]
This is a picture taken of the Tsunami aftermath. Seeing this picture makes me wonder if these people would have the same sympathy for my countrymen, and my country, under different circumstances, or if he yelled “allah akbar” on 9/11. I wonder if a handful of American aid dollars might get him to discard his tattered bin Laden shirt – or merely buy a new one. I wonder if he thinks the Arab League should be sending him aid instead of infidel Americans. This is the problem I have with the world insisting that we help. To me, that another face of the enemy.
Does this man consider American Capitalism his worst enemy? And George Bush? It’s worthy of consideration. We are a nation at war, and we should not, under any circumstances IMHO, be helping sympathizers to the cause of the enemy. And that means–here at home, as well. Cross-Posted to It Is What It Is

The democratic party: Hijacked by socialist radicals
01.02.05 (1:49 am) [edit]
First, you should visit this website. A fellow calling himself “Cecil” was kind enough to shared this with us. I emailed him to make sure it was ok with him to put this out there: In the last couple of years I have had to do a great deal of thinking about where the party (Democrat), I have been a member of for so many years, has been heading. I have looked at the facts available to me and who is pushing to the forefront of our party. I have become sickened with the knowledge we have allowed a certain group to use us and make their beliefs the beliefs of the Mainstream Democrat Party. At 58 I have come to certain conclusions, based on available facts, that compel me to write the following: Left-wing (Liberal) versus Right-wing (Conservative) Left-wing (Liberal) – groups of people or individuals who support or believe in the Marxist/Socialist form of government. These are people who advocate the overthrow of the United States as a Democratic (not talking about the party) Society by any means. These are people who believe in the overthrow of the American Constitution as the only way to obtain their goals. Any means (attacks on the government, organizations or individuals i.e. Kent State Bombing during the Vietnam War or the Oklahoma City Bombing) to achieve their goals are to be used. Therefore, even if it is considered wrong by a majority of American citizens any act which furthers their aims/goals is good. Most often, these people use a form of rhetoric (listen closely and you can hear the echoes of Marx, Engel, and Stalin) to denounce the “Government lies” and blame America for starting it or say “America is getting just what it deserves from the 9/11 attack”. Their name calling has changed over the years from an outspoken communistic rhetoric to the much more subtle “politically correct, do not blame the poor unfortunates or they are kept in ignorance so please be careful what you say about them” type of pap. The liberal element of the US has a tendency to swallow this pap hook-line-sinker and have taken this left-wing pap as their own creed. Right-wing (Conservative) – groups of people or individuals who support and believe in the American Constitution and the laws of the United States. Who do not believe that any means is OK to further their goals/aims but try to stay within the framework of the law of this country. Conservative means just what it says, this group is attempting to conserve the America Constitution from attempts to dilute or change it in a manner that is against the way that the majority of Americans feel it should be. These people have been much more consistent in their approach. The same arguments used during the Vietnam War to defend the beliefs of the majority of the US citizens are being used today to defend the right for America to strike against the regimes that support terrorist and terrorist attacks on the US. At least these people have not flip-flopped back and forth like so many of the Liberals have done. If someone wants to point out some extreme groups are right-wing (i.e. the retards of Waco), well they are wrong. An extremist is someone who has gone beyond the norm to further his (or his small group’s) beliefs, which do not reflect the beliefs of the majority. That is like saying the “Black Panthers” are part of the Liberal Mainstream Democrat Party. Extremist groups have always considered themselves above or beyond the laws. Extremist groups have a track record of providing the majority of terrorist around the world. No doubt, some will take offense to my equating Left-wing Marxist/Socialist to the Liberals. I have news for these people, all we have to do is look at who claim to be “good” Mainstream Liberals/Democrats to note that liberalism is just a front for the Marxist/Socialistic elements. To name a few: Jane (Hanoi Jane) Fonda Leslie Cagan Rep. Barbara Lee Rep. James McDermott Michael Moore Oliver Stone Brian Becker Stanley Cohen Lynne Stewart William Kunstler Rep. Mike Thompson These are some of the people who have supported and admire communistic regimes and their leaders or dictatorships like the Saddam reign and they are self professed “good” Liberals /Democrats. What’s the most disturbing fact, to me, is “the Mainstream (Liberal) Democrat Party is too stupid to understand that people like this are using the party to further their goals at the expense of the American People. The liberals can say anything they want to about the conservatives but when a conservative answers back in kind the liberals pout and say the conservatives are not being “Politically Correct”. I, for one, do not feel that everything President Bush has done is right or even if it is right that he did it properly! Yes, he is not as smooth as many who speak against him and he fumbles for the right words (and drops the ball) at times but I also believe history will show that he was a man who did the best he could. If you do not believe that the troops really should be in Afghanistan and/or Iraq, then fine. But when you fail to support those troops (not considering why they are there but the fact that they are America Men & Women following orders of the Commander-in-Chief of all America Armed Forces) that is treason in the eyes of more than 95% of the people who has served this country in the military. For all you Liberal Bleeding Heart Politically Correct (Left-wing Marxist Socialistic) anti-American, ignorant, gullible, Democraps out there I renounce the Democrat party and the left-wing philosophy you stand for. My last two words for the Democrat party, I have been a member of for so many years and now renounce, is “Kiss it” America troops are America Men and Women deserving our support. Support our Troops!!

Liberals need to f**k more
01.01.05 (3:19 pm) [edit]
Moveon.org, mwahahaha is telling libs they need to f***k more, I just can’t stand it. bwhahahahahaha! As per Matt Margolis, here. Conservative religious families have four to six children. Liberal families who are concerned about population control and the environment might have two, one or none. Conservatives are better at it, apparently than the metrosexual crowd who’s afraid to get their hair mussed up–click here. But then, the ones who want Cherry cabinets in their kitchen and want to drive a Bentley couldn’t give two spits about having kids. Having kids is for people with VALUES, who want to see their progeny live on, and don’t care who sees them shopping at Walmart. The libs may be better at having sex with a flavor of the month who might have STDS or AIDS, which isn’t anything to brag about, that’s why they have to be more careful. hahahahahaha
What’s the answer? Liberals need to f**k more. Well, they probably already do f**k more, they just are more conscientious about using condoms, the patch, the pill or, when it is in the interest of the mother, considering abortion as an option. There’s proof positive that the dimwits consider abortion a positive form of birth control. Let’s breed ‘em further into extinction, in our safe, monogamous relationships. Idiots. Here’s a thought along the same lines via the Sandmonkey. It’s the solution to terrorism, and it’s the liberal Bill Maher. Thanks, Leanne. This is too hilarious. If we really want to stop terrorism, we have to get Muslim men laid. Five British Muslims who were recently sent home from our prison at Guantanamo, charge that their American captors brought in prostitutes to taunt them, because most had never even seen a naked woman before. And it made me wonder how many members of Al Qaeda have even dated a girl? We should hire women to infiltrate Al Qaeda cells and f**k them. Things would change quickly because young Muslim men don’t really hate America. They’re jealous of America. We have rap videos and the Hilton sisters and magazines with titles like Barely Legal. You know what’s “barely legal” in Afghanistan? Everything!
